Alvalyn Lundgren Receives 2nd American Graphic Design Award

Alvalyn's logo design for CrossFit Life Groups, a small group ministry, was selected as an award-winner in the 2009 American Graphic Design Awards. The American Graphic Design Awards sponsored by Graphic Design USA, recognizes excellence in graphic design in all media and is the broadest of design awards competitions in the United States. This is Alvalyn's second award from GDUSA and her third national recognition for design excellence.
Alvalyn Announces New Projects

Alvalyn Lundgren, founder and creative director of Alvalyn Creative, welcomes several new client relationships. She recently completed design for a campaign for New Horizons-San Fernando Valley Center for the Retarded. Her current project with inspirational speaker, Mamie McCollough, is the first of a series of book designs. Alvalyn also completed work on a set of campaign materials for Lighthouse Church in Newbury Park, CA.

Once again, Alvalyn is teaching a practical course in color theory and application for designers, Color Methodologies, at UCLA Extension. She is also teaching Design Fundamentals as an online course, and a three-dimensional design course, Elements of Design 2, at UCLA's 1010 Westwood site.

Alvalyn is teaching two courses with UCLA Extension this quarter. Her on-site course is Design Fundamentals, a foundational course in aesthetics and design principles bent toward graphic designer and visual communicators. 2008 American Graphic Design Awards Recipient

Alvalyn Lundgren has been selected as a winner in the 2008 American Graphic Design Awards, sponsored by GraphicDesignUSA, for her design of the 2007 New Journal of Student Research Abstracts which she developed for Los Angeles World Airports/Van Nuys Airport. The Journal is a joint outreach project of Van Nuys Airport and California State University, Northridge to engender interest in aviation and science careers among middle school and high school students. The American Graphic Design Awards recognizes excellence in graphic design in all media and is the broadest of design awards competitions in the United States. Out of over 10,000 entries only 15% was recognized with an award. Alvalyn's work will be featured along with the other winners in the American Graphic Design Awards Annual, both the print and the web versions.
